Greetings from the CAPE Executive Council

The Executive Council meets monthly to conduct business on behalf of the Cornell Association of Professors Emeriti (CAPE). You are invited to attend and join in the discussion. The Dean of Faculty quite often joins us with items of faculty interest. Call the CAPE Office (255-6608) for the meeting schedule.

The CAPE Office is located on the fourth floor of Day Hall in room 431.

Professor Emeritus Barry Adams represents emeritus professors on the University Benefits Committee. Professor Emeritus Don Farley is our representative for University Faculty Senate.

CAPE hosts a lecture series each semester. Currently the committee is in the process of developing the fall lecture series.

In cooperation with Mann Library staff, CAPE offers computer workshops that are held in the fall and spring. Information about the lecture series and computer courses is posted on this website or can be obtained by calling the CAPE office.

The Health Careers Evaluation Committee is a group of faculty and senior staff that assists students who are applying to medical schools. Committee members conduct informed interviews with the students and provide a letter of evaluation for each student to the HCEC chairman. Professor Emeritus B. F. Stanton chairs the committee.
